I have found this to be very helpful. It has not let me down. Use it for copying & pasting across multiple applications. Much better since the last update.

Overall its a fantastic little tool. There is still an issue, however, when I plug/unplug an external monitor, the window “gets lost”, meaning that it no longer appears under the menubar icon. This also happens if my screen resolution changes. Either the window opens half-way off the screen (and I can’t move it), or it opens somewhere completely off screen. The only way to workaround is to kill the app and relaunch it. Annoying. Also, a nice improvement would be to be able to lock certain lists with a password (that auto-locks itself again after a short time, like Keychains), and have it switch back to the History list after you paste an item from a locked list. If it did those 2 things, and the window positioning was fixed, it would be 5 stars for sure! One last thing - with the default color theme, its sometimes hard to tell which item is highlighted. There’s just a thin, purple border around the item, which doesn’t stand out much. It would be nice to either make the selected item more prominent, or allow for different themes to be used.
- After the initial install I could not click anything in the app, I think because of the select script’ popup somehow got into the background - Makes you select a location to store the script, but the tooltip points to User/Library which is hidden … selecting home folder works -> docs should be changed - No in-app contact address/page to leave feedback - Cannot overwrite shotcuts used by other apps (worked in other manager, here just refuses to overwrite) - gets super slow when using with unlimited + tons of clipboard content
When close and reopen the lid of my mac, it stops recording the clipboard history. After a sleep and wake-up cycle, the problem I mentioned below recurs. - I have an external display connected to my rMBP. When I click on the menubar icon on my external display, the popup menu of this app shows up in the retina display. - When I click the desktop on any inactive desktop (the desktop with a grayed-out or muted menubar), the icon turns grey, as if it were not active. - And the popup windows is no longer aligned with the menubar icon after the icon is moved by Bartende (BTW one quick fix is to drag the popup away so it becoms a window and close it). I don’t believe this is a bug but it can be really nice to see it be Bartender-friendly. Besides these UI glitches, this is really a handy, beautiful and must-have app and continues to save me a lot of time after I replaced ClipMenu with this app.
I tried many and none has come close to this one. I’ve been using it happily for years.
I probably use the app once or twice a week, when I’m transferring lots of info from one environment to another, it really helps keep track of it all. For $5, I’m saving real money just by saving time.
I’ve been using Clipboard Center for a few years now. Out of 3-4 tools like this that I’ve tried, Clipboard Center is the best : stable, right-sized feature set, well designed usability, and by far the most visually attractive. I use it daily if not hourly — definitely on my must-have apps list. With the 2.0 update, it has only gotten better. Hats off once more to Mssr. Marchand — keep up the good work!
