Most basic & essential feature MISSING

Wow. Huge oversight by the developer. When I click the icon in the menu bar, Clipboard Center appears. Thats as expected. But when I click on an item in the list of previously-copied items, that item simply stays highlighted. It does NOT close Clipboard Center and PASTE THE ITEM. That means I have to click back to the window Im in and then paste, either via the keyboard or the Edit menu. HUGE waste of time.

If this critical feature (click to paste) is added in as the default behavior, or at least a preference is added to turn this feature on, then I will raise my one-star rating to a 5-star.
